To create heavier yarns, you will first need to follow these steps:

To Create Sportweight Yarn:
Either by hand or using a yarn winder, wind a single strand of Merino Pro into a ball/ cake weighing approximately 50g.
Break yarn. Wind another ball/ cake in the same manner, weighing approximately 50g.
Then wind these two balls / cakes together.
The result will be a 100g ball/ cake of Sportweight yarn, with a meterage of 300m per 100g.
Repeat as needed, to wind a sufficient quantity for your project.
Each cone contains enough yarn for ten 100g balls, cakes wound in this manner.

To Create DK Weight Yarn:

Then wind these 3 balls / cakes together.
The result will be a 100g ball/ cake of DK weight yarn, with a meterage of 200m per 100g.
